We have the following Membership Categories :

 

	Individual Registration : -          Full Individuals : Full Individuals are the only “Active Members” from whom the “General Membership” is formed and who are Eligible for board election. All other membership Categories are considered “Associate Members”. -          All other Sub-categories : Non-eligible for board election. Associate Members.
	Company Registration : To maintain impartiality, companies aren’t allowed to be represented in the management board, and aren’t eligible for board election. Associate Members.
	Employee Registration : Employees of member companies can apply free of charge through their companies membership, and within the limits of the company quota. Employees joining through their companies aren’t eligible for board election. Associate Members.

Membership will be activated after receipt of membership fees. Exceptions are for the following where activation doesn’t depend on payment (although they still need to apply) :

 

-          Legal Founders (Individual Category) : Closed group of pre-known individuals. Immediate Activation, Free of Charge, No expiration date. Active Members, Eligible to board elections.

-          Establishment Project Team Members (Individual Category) : Closed group of pre-known individuals. Immediate Activation, Free of Charge, No expiration date. Active Members, Eligible to board elections.

-          Honorary Membership (Invited Individuals) : Immediate Activation, Free of Charge, No expiration date. Non-Eligible to board election.

-          Sponsors (Corporate Category) : Immediate Activation, expiration date equal to end of sponsorship duration. Associate Members.

-          Local Branches of itSMF Global Members (IBM, HP, SUN, CA, Dimension Data) (Corporate Category) : Immediate Activation, Free of Charge, No expiration date. Quota is 50 employees. Associate Members.
